Delivery & Driver Tracking
Real-time delivery and driver tracking
The control room sees where each delivery vehicle is, the route it took, whether it has reached the drop, and the status of every job — with the time and coordinates of each drop kept for review.

- Every delivery job’s status at once
- Time and coordinates for every drop
- Driving behaviour scores per driver
Definition
How delivery tracking works
Delivery tracking follows a delivery run from leaving the warehouse to the final drop, reading coordinates from the driver’s phone while their shift is running. That gives a continuous view of where the vehicle is, the route actually driven, and the status of each job — with the time and coordinates of every drop check-in recorded, both for answering customers and for reviewing afterwards.
- What it tracks
- The position of any driver on shift, the route driven, distance, timing, and the status of every delivery job.
- How a delivery is confirmed
- Checking in at the drop records the real time and coordinates, and a proof-of-delivery photo attaches to the same job.
- Which vehicles it suits
- Trucks, vans, company pickups, rentals and delivery motorcycles — because it runs from the driver’s phone.
- Whether driver behaviour is visible
- Yes. Six behaviour scores from GPS and the phone’s sensors, with the risk events marked along the route.
The hidden cost
The cost hidden inside delivery work
What delivery work really costs is not just fuel. It is the work that has to be redone, and the credibility that goes with it.
No answer on arrival time
Without the vehicle’s position, the coordination desk can only estimate — and has to call the driver every time a customer asks.
Disputes about deliveries
With no time and coordinates for each drop, proving something was delivered comes down to someone’s word.
Accidents en route
Driving behaviour nobody sees accumulates into damaged goods, vehicles earning nothing while off the road, and penalties for late delivery.
One delivery round
One delivery round in the system
Every drop in a round attaches to the same job, so you can tell whether the round went to plan.
- 01
Assign the delivery job
A supervisor creates the delivery job with its drop points and assigns it to a driver, who sees it in the app immediately.
- 02
Start work before leaving the warehouse
The system records route, timing, distance and driving behaviour for the whole round.
- 03
Check in at every drop
Check in on arrival to record the real time and coordinates, with a proof-of-delivery photo attached to the job.
- 04
Close the round and get the summary
On finishing, the system summarises the route, distance, time taken, drops actually completed, and the driving behaviour score for that round.

What the control room gets
What the delivery control room sees all day
One screen answers where the goods are, who is delivering, and which round is about to run late.
- Every driver currently delivering, on one map
- Status of each delivery job, from accepted to closed
- Time and coordinates of every drop check-in, with proof photos
- Route history and real distance for each delivery round
- Six driving behaviour scores and where the risk events happened
- Emergency assistance with coordinates, for drivers
Delivery evidence
Every round auditable — route, timing and risk

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
The questions our team hears most about Delivery Tracking — from operations, HR and IT.
01Can end customers see where the delivery vehicle is?
The system is built for the control room and internal supervisors, so location is not exposed to end customers directly. What changes is that the coordination desk can answer immediately from one screen — where the vehicle is and how many drops remain — without calling the driver. Once delivered, the time and coordinates of the drop are there to confirm it afterwards.
02Can we track a delivery team on motorcycles?
Yes, because the system reads coordinates from the driver’s phone rather than the vehicle or its electrical system, so motorcycles work exactly as trucks and vans do. Worth arranging a proper phone mount and setting a clear policy on phone use while riding.
03Can we track deliveries run by subcontractors?
Yes, to the extent the subcontractor agrees to use the app and start work in it. The system then sees route, timing and check-ins for the jobs you assign, as normal. Organisations should cover this in the contract and tell the subcontractor’s staff the purpose of the collection, exactly as they would their own employees.
04What proof of delivery does the system keep?
One set of evidence per drop: the check-in time, the coordinates with their accuracy margin, the photo attached from site, and the driver’s notes. All of it attaches to that delivery job and to the route actually driven on that round, so you can confirm what reached which point and when, without collecting it from several places.
05How should driving behaviour scores be used for delivery drivers?
Use them to identify who should attend safety training first, to support accident investigations and insurance claims, and to see which routes or times of day produce an unusual number of risk events. We advise against docking pay or KPIs on the score alone, because smartphone sensors vary in precision between models.
